Never cooked with condensed cream of onion soup before? Go for it- this recipe for Pork Chops with Creamy Onion Sauce is the perfect place to start. The soup provides all the flavor- it's creamy and rich with a subtle onion flavor that enhances anything it's paired with. Only 3 ingredients (not counting the water) and 25 minutes total time until dinner is on the table.
Ingredient
- 1 1/4 pounds bone-in pork chop, 1/2-inch thick (about 4 pork chops)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Condensed Cream of Onion Soup
- 1/2 cup water
Direction
- Season the pork with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook for 6 minutes or until browned on both sides (to prevent sticking, make sure the skillet and oil are hot before adding the pork).
- Add the soup and water to the skillet and heat to a boil, stirring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the pork is done. Season to taste and serve.
