Grilled Okra and Grape Tomatoes
Okra and grape tomatoes are skewered and grilled—an easy grilled side that is perfect for end-of-summer cookouts.
Ingredient
- 32 okra pods
- 32 grape tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt-free Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Direction
- Soak 8 (8-inch) wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes.
- Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat (400 to 450 degrees F (200 to 230 degrees C)). Lightly oil grill.
- Thread 4 okra pods and 4 grape tomatoes onto each soaked skewer. Stir together Cajun seasoning and canola oil in a small bowl; brush onto okra and tomatoes. Sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Grill vegetable skewers, turning halfway through, until okra is bright green and tender and grill marks form, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer okra and tomatoes from skewers into a serving bowl.
