Creamy Double Cheddar Mac & Cheese
Kids and adults can both agree mac and cheese is a winner on any dinner table, especially at the holidays! Rich and creamy Cheddar Cheese soup takes this mac and cheese to the next level offering ease and an effortless, foolproof method requiring only 7 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep.
Ingredient
- 16 ounces uncooked cavatappi pasta
- 2 cans (10 1/2 ounces each) Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
- 3 1/4 cups shredded white Cheddar cheese (amount divided in recipe steps below)
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup panko
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Direction
- Cook the cavatappi in a saucepot according to the package directions. While the cavatappi is cooking, heat the oven to 375°F.
- Drain the cavatappi in a colander and return to the saucepot. Stir in the soup, 3 cups cheese, milk and cayenne pepper. Spoon the mixture into a 3-quart baking dish. Mix the panko, butter and remaining 1/4 cup cheese. Sprinkle the panko mixture over the cavatappi mixture.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until hot and the panko mixture is golden brown.
