Creamy Cajun Chicken and Sausage Pasta
It's not hard to break out of a dinner rut- just make this Creamy Cajun Chicken & Sausage Pasta. The creamy Cajun cooking sauce is everything you need to make a delicious Cajun dish is in one little pouch, so all you have to add is a handful of ingredients. Saute some chicken, andouille sausage and bell pepper, simmer with the sauce and toss with cooked pasta. It's hearty, creamy, savory and a little spicy. You can make it on the stovetop, in the oven, slow cooker or multi-cooker- the sauce works in them all!
Ingredient
- 2 cups uncooked penne pasta (about 6 ounces)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 pound smoked andouille sausage, sliced
- 1 small red bell pepper, cut in strips (about 1 cup)
- 1 pouch (12 ounces) Campbell's® Creamy Cajun Cooking Sauce
Direction
- Cook and drain the penne according to the package directions. While the penne is cooking, heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the sausage and pepper and cook until the sausage is browned and the chicken is done.
- Stir in the sauce and heat to a boil. Add the cooked penne and toss to coat.
